I am interested how Social Media (SM) is or isn't impacting Coke v. Pepsi. Pepsi has fallen 4.9% in market share and Diet Coke is now the #2 soda in US. A year ago Pepsi has more followers on Twitter, but today Coke has ~149k + followers.. and about 22k + tweets. Looking for people to help research this topic. SM gives great advantage to individuals, small and medium sized companies. With the Billion dollar ad budgets it's interesting to see if SM has any real impact in the face big budgets.

I am working with the Alpha test of Data Sift which has the full fire hose from Twitter and other sources. I am looking for interesting ways to shifting through the data for both engagement and out reach as well as methods for examining competitors.
