About Me
My name is Michael Fanelli, and I would say that I am not your usual accountant. Recently licensed as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in the state of North Carolina, I strive to think outside-of-the-box, to become a more creative thinker, a solutions-man. Unfortunately, many of my accounting brethren are not, and as such many of the thoughts racing through my head lean towards entrepreneurship. I grew up, went to college, and started my career in upstate New York, and moved to North Carolina in 2005.
Mike’s current position is as Manager in the Transaction Services group of a large public accounting firm. Transaction Services includes all services related to merger & acquisition due diligence, for private equity groups and corporate strategic buyers.
When I’m not working or blogging, I am spending quality time with my wife, Katie, my dog Rooney, and my friends in NY and NC. I also enjoy traveling, reading, and “arguing my side of a story”.
Hopefully, one day I will own my own business.
