About Me

Evelyn is Director of Communications at Southern Westchester BOCES, where she and her staff produce publications and digital information for nine school districts in the Westchester County region. She has also worked as a public relations specialist for Putnam/Northern Westchester BOCES and the Scarsdale Schools. Before getting into the public relations field, Evelyn was employed for 18 years at Gannett newspapers in White Plains, where she worked as a reporter, editor, Lifestyles editor and senior managing editor. Evelyn was the National School Public Relations Association’s Frontrunner Award winner in 2010 for her work in the field of digital resources for school PR.
