About Me

I am passionate about web design and inbound marketing. I enjoy working with Photoshop, HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Illustrator, and more, in order to improve how the web looks and operates. My desire is to help brands communicate who they are and what they do.

I believe strongly in quality brand communication through the web. I am a student for life, and I currently spend my time on graphic design, Wordpress, and inbound marketing. I also attend the Art Institute of Pittsburgh for Web Development.

I read tons of blogs with Google Reader. This is my main source for information and inspiration. I am also an avid twitterer.

I love networking with new people,whether as potential clients, colleagues, or just all around good people.

I love Windows 7 and multiple monitor displays. I also love pizza.

People fascinate me. I believe you can learn something valuable from absolutely anyone.

• I began picking up some design projects for friends and family. Then I started going to school for design. After countless hours over the past two years, I am now beginning to do freelance design. I am currently looking for new clients.

  I work mostly with Photoshop, XHTML, and CSS. I have also designed, configured and maintained a couple Wordpress blogs.

• In charge of all front-end design, purchasing, configuration, and troubleshooting. I work with small computer networks for building automation systems, mostly in Hospitals, Universities, and public school districts. I configure SQL databases with IIS web servers and local workstations running the BAS software.

  I also design and create all of the graphics and user interfaces for the front-end systems. I use a combination of AutoDesk Viz, AutoCAD, MS Visio, Photoshop, and Flash for this process.

  I worked in the Building Automation Systems division. This division designs building control systems as an authorized Andover Controls (TAC, by Schneider Electric) dealer.

• Starting as a co-op (intern) I assisted the other engineers with As-built drawings and other Auto-CAD work. I assisted in system design and layout. I also worked with the graphics interface for end users and software installation and PC setup.

  After completing my 6-month full-time internship I was requested to remain as a part-time employee, as my schedule allowed. I remained part-time while attending school for the next year. My performance in this position lead to my full-time hiring before completing my undergraduate degree, which I am pursuing currently.

• On a staff of three, I planned and managed events for the Ross Commons student center. I designed flyers to attract students to the events. I also coordinated with vendors for event setup. Examples of events include weekly open mic night, college bands for small concerts, and Microsoft XBox Live event.

• As a client specialist I maintained a list of regular clients, for continued contact and support, beyond the sale. I regularly exceeded sales expectations. I also assisted in setting up store visuals.

  This sales experience allowed me to develop ongoing sales relationships with customers, assist in wardrobing, and improve my interpersonal and communication skills.
