I'm kind of quirky, I'm told, but I suppose I'd rather be quirky than uninteresting.
I am heavily in pursuit of additional skills to add to my arsenal; while I do enjoy showing off once in a while, they're mostly for my own personal satisfaction. Card magic and tennis (not performed simultaneously) are my latest additions--I aspire to learn sign language, palm reading, to read lips, to read braille, to perform tarot card readings, to play poker at a professional level, to become a tea and wine connoisseur, to learn bartending skills, origami, to bake at a ...respectable level(and one day come up with my own secret cookie recipe).
I am committed to providing value to others. Showing me how I can provide values to others through some task is the quickest way to stirring my motivation.
I could just write about the usual Chemical Engineering education I received at this great institution (The Cooper Union!) but I would rather my summary portray me as a human, not a list of courses I've taken. I can assure with the utmost confidence that I am qualified to do any job as long as I know I am providing value and service to others. And if I'm not qualified, I'll do the necessary practice or studying it takes to become qualified.
I am quite analytical when I put my mind to it, and pay a lot of attention to seemingly minor details; I would rest easier spending too much time on something insignificant than to accidentally neglect something major due to negligence. Must have something to do with my overall skepticism.
I can go on and argue why my grades are not as impressive as others, but it's quite simple--I'm not a very good test taker. I'm not very good at absorbing a lot of material that I won't be putting to use, material that I can't use to benefit those around me. I apologize in advance for having flaws.
For employers, I hope to shed more light on myself as a person through this summary and my lists of passions/goals than my work history could ever portray.
