Ellie is a journalist in New York City and a bit of a blogaholic. She has found her niche blogging about Generation Y and how the one-of-a-kind generation is affected by culture, new media and finance. She gets a kick out of weaving together topics like 401(k)s, fashion and Facebook. She also writes about social media for Examiner.com.
Ellie is an associate editor for the online and print editions of PLANSPONSOR and PLANADVISER magazines, covering the retirement industry. Previously she spent six months abroad covering finance for Global Custodian magazine and blogging about the American experience in England. She was managing editor of The Post, a student-run newspaper in Athens, Ohio, and completed internships with The Chautauquan Daily, The Cincinnati Enquirer and The Dispatch Publishing Group, covering topics such as entertainment, fashion, health, lifestyle, women's issues and politics.
When she isn't working or blogging, Ellie enjoys consuming an insane amount of information, practicing yoga, and writing poetry. She received a bachelor's degree from the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University, with a specialization in dance and an undergraduate certificate in women's studies.
