About Me

I grew up in the sprawling metropolis of Black River Falls, Wisconsin. I decided in 4th grade that I would go to college at the University of Wisconsin - Madison like my then-idol, Frank Lloyd Wright (to say I was a girl with a plan would be a bit of an understatement).

I like to think that 10 year old Ellen would be proud, as I just graduated from the UW in May with my bachelor's degree in Marketing and certificate in Religious Studies. Along the way, I squeezed in internships at M3, a risk management and insurance agency; Bean Sprouts, an organic, kid-centric cafe; and Sway, a social media marketing firm.

I was bound and determined to leave for a bigger city, but had a change of heart after moving to the Monroe Street neighborhood last August. I fell in love with Madison all over again, and after landing an internship with a local marketing firm, I decided to stick around.

In my free time, I enjoy honing my chopstick skills at Wasabi (my favorite sushi restaurant), snowboarding, biking, ogling fashion and design blogs, and spending time with my family.
