Rebecca Thorman Just rented my first dress from Rent The Runway for a wedding this weekend, but the site would be equally good for important meetings, conferences, and office parties. I got a $415 Designer dress (that I would have only worn once) for $50! Exciting! I'm posting my referral link - yes, I get something, but they also have a wait list and if you sign up through my link, no waiting :) Enjoy! - http://www.renttherunway.com/referral/rlthorman

Carlita Pitts Long distance job hunting - How do I crack the code? I have read numerous blogs that talk about how it's impossible find a job from a remote location. I am trying to relocate from Ohio to the DC area. I have been applying for jobs a while and nothing has happened. Most sites say that you have to move to the city first and then get a job. With the economy and the shaky job market, this is not an option for me. Can anyone provide any advice on successful long distance job hunt strategies?

I have been diligent about applying and so hopefully something works out soon. I have also been tapping into some social networks. I recently updated my Linked In profile and trying to reach out to people in the area. I am also using this website and it's been great. I am getting frustrated, but I am hoping all this hard work pays off soon.

Forest Glen in Silver Spring has a metro stop next to leafy suburban housing, is close to Bethesda by car, College Park and Baltimore if you'd like, and an easy drive through Rock Creek Park on weekends. My fave address in all the years I've been round here. Though Gaithersburg is a very well-run small city with many amenities for families. Great parks and rec at incredible prices, after school and summer programs for kids.

Devin Cowens Hi All! I'm new to the site and stumbled upon this network and am liking what I've been reading so far! I started a blog in August to update family and friends about my life after college working for a non profit in a big new city (Los Angeles). I am fairly new to the blog world but am wondering where a good place is to get tips on how to take my blog to the next level. I'm thinking of starting a different one (since mine is focused on my current job) once I move to DC this summer. Any tips?
