Oh, dear me. I am just not so great with a great big box to fill, because I can tend to go off on tangents and things.
Well, I have an eclectic set of interests and as such, I am pursuing an individually designed major. I am thinking it will focus mainly on anthropology, with some psychology, philosophy, and digital community studies, and perhaps some women's studies and even creative writing as well.
It is always important to me that in everything I do, I see that it is meaningful. I am okay with completing a task that is merely a means to a meaningful end, but that is about as much latitude as I can bear.
What I find meaningful is usually anything having to do with bettering understanding and helping people. This is my interest in anthropology, psychology, philosophy, etc. I am a holistic thinker and always trying to expand my field of vision, so I usually embrace any perspective I can gain.
I am a very passionate and compassionate person, which also makes me very driven, virtuous (reliable, for one thing), empathetic, and very good at working within a group in an instrumental, influential way that improves the overall cohesion and morale of the group.
I tend to be very opinionated, but I try to be very moderate and rational in discussing my positions. I try to keep in mind that my ideas are not more valid simply because I am the one that holds them, and I try to communicate my point of view in a way that is considerate and non-threatening for the other people engaged in the conversation.
That is far more than enough about me, right? I think so.
