Visit VolunteerMatch.org and do search on the field you are interested. Select Virtual and work with more than one Organization. Some are flaky. Get good experience and then pad your resume. Most non-profits will say you "Consulted" for them once you prove yourself.
Three days ago, I started a blog to get the attention of an online marketing startup that I'm looking to work for. Not the typical resume!
The plan worked flawlessly, I spoke with the founders, and now I have two weeks to "show them what I got." Essentially, to grow the blog, demonstrate my skills, and (hopefully) get featured in one of the major tech-news blogs.

A few things to improve:
1. Site Organization: I found it hard to navigate through your pages. It was hard to decipher pages from one another.
2. Separating Posts on Your Front Page: I think adding an additional color (navy/dark blue) to the titles of your posts would add structure to the page. Also, this change would differentiate your different posts to show that you have a wide array of ideas. 124 weeks ago
