About Me

Danny Rubin works as a consultant for Frank Magid Associates, a leading media research firm. He works mostly with television and newspaper clients, helping to either boost ratings or subscriptions.

Prior to working at Magid, he was a television reporter at WTKR, the CBS affiliate in Norfolk, Va.

In addition to consulting, Danny provides freelance video production services in the Washington DC area.

A native of Virginia Beach, he attended the University of Virginia and received a master's in broadcast journalism from the University of Maryland-College Park.

• Work with media organizations (TV and print) to determine content that resonates most with an audience. Through research and a background in journalism, my goal is to help a TV station or newspaper deliver stronger content that gets noticed.

• Placed more than $2 million in advertising during the 2010 Midterm Elections for Bully Pulpit, an online advertising firm. I purchased ad space on major news sites and national blogs for political organizations, corporations and non-profits.

• Covered Hampton, Newport News, and Williamsburg for the CBS affiliate based in Norfolk, Virginia. I also managed WTKR’s bureau inside the offices of The Daily Press, newspaper for
