I currently work with manufacturing companies to identify to decrease operating cost, improve production, increase safety and sustainability. I establish a partnership and learn my clients systems. Involves sales, training, leadership and working within the parameters of multiple company bureaucracies and government oversight agencies. Previously a goal oriented Army officer with five years of active duty service. Managed people, equipment, contracts, operations, monies, and various events. Graduated Clemson University in May 2004 with a BS in Biological Sciences and a minor in Military Science. Introduced economic and government programs in Iraq. Created and implemented a multi-year plan to restore economic stability to semi-agrarian area of Iraq through military, non-governmental organizations, US government agencies and local Iraqi government cooperation.
Responsible for support and development of all civilian affairs operations to include over $6 million of government contracts and pay agents involving battalion’s finances or battalion’s area of responsibility, and coordinating the efforts of multiple organizations operating in our area of responsibility.
Headquarters 2-320th Field Artillery Battalion
Ballad Air Base, Iraq)
Oversaw the operation of the battalion command center, managing current operations and coordinating supporting units.
Worked closely with Air Force Base Defense Cell and collocated units in coordinating combined operations. Oversaw execution of 10 patrols per day and dozens missions. Trained two senior LTs replacements before focusing on other duties, filling in as needed for the rest of the deployment.
Headquarters 2-320th Field Artillery Battalion
Supervised the deployment and redeployment of personnel for a 400+ man military unit to and from Iraq.
Responsible for directing the 6 man human resources team, managing over 400 personnel and coordinating with commander on personnel concerns.
B Battery, 2-320th Field Artillery
Managed the maintenance, supply, and logistics for sending 80+ men and over $10 million of equipment through aggressive two week training exercise 400 miles from base. Commanded 80+ man unit during commander’s absence.
Responsible for maintenance of 8 howitzers, 20+ vehicles, and millions of dollars worth of equipment. Acting as commander in commander’s absence. Liaised with headquarters, supporting units, and base personnel to implement commander’s plans.
C Company, 2-327th Infantry, 101st Div
Fire Support Officer
Organized and directed a ten man team to provide mortar and cannon fire to assigned infantry company.
Managed ten soldiers of various ranks and over $1 million worth of equipment to provide mortar and cannon support to assigned infantry company. Responsible for team performance including equipment, maintenance, accountability and welfare. Assisted Commander in many aspects dealing civilian population including paying contractors, lower level government officials, and charity organizations
C Company, 2-327th Infantry, 101st Div
Battle Captain
Managed the company command post for 334 days for a deployed infantry company in a highly populated and active area of operations. Coordinated a minimum of 9 patrols a day with an average 1 combat mission per day. Duties included managing and making decisions on logistics, resupply, combat reallocation, asset coordination, and reporting. Never a dull moment!
Civilian Affairs and Contracting Officer
Managed all non combat operations for a deployed infantry company in a counter insurgency operation for 12 months.
Managed 10 construction projects, managed 20 contracts and $1M in funds. Worked with local police on supply issues. Worked with government contractors on Iraqi police training project, the state department on instituting government programs as they organized the provincial government and groups from across the United States FOB Warrior in coordinating humanitarian missions.
