About Me

Christy is Founder & CEO of Trumpet Consulting, LLC - a job search strategy firm that provides professional resume editing, network coaching and website development for business professionals, lawyers and freelancers.
She is a top marketer who became fascinated with the recruiting industry when she was chosen to be a Student Career Counselor at The University of Michigan Business School in 2001. At Michigan she learned to write superior resumes and give mock-interviews to students at the #1 ranked BBA program.
Her passion for job search strategy increased when she landed her first job as a market researcher at Procter & Gamble. Christy has applied world class marketing concepts to her own career and, as a result, has landed prestigious positions in the US and Global Brand Marketing Departments of Unilever and The Wm. Wrigley Jr. Company where she helped market and manage such brands as Dove, Axe, Caress, Lux, Eclipse and Life Savers. She now enjoys applying her marketing savvy to help people better position and promote themselves for their most important professional sales pitch… their own career advancement.
Christy is a Certified Professional Resume Writer (CPRW) with over 400 resumes to her credit. She is also a contracted resume writer for TheLadders.com (job board for +$100K salary jobs.)
Christy holds a BBA with High Distinction from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business in marketing and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management in marketing management and entrepreneurship. She lives in Chicago, IL and enjoys training for and racing in endurance sport events.
In her free time she enjoys participating in endurance sports such as running, cycling, triathlons, backpacking and entrepreneurship (which is totally an endurance sport.)
