I am a 2009 Teach for America Corps Member. I teach 4th grade English as a Second Language (ESL) at P.S.007 in the Bronx, New York. In addition to my responsibilities as a teacher, I serve as the ESL Department leader of my school. Over the past two years I have worked to develop the leadership capacity that is necessary to become a high-impact school leader.
Prior to joining the 2009 Teach for America corps, I completed a B.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Cornell University. While at Cornell, I worked as a Legislative Aide for New York City Council Member Gale A. Brewer. I also collaborated with a research team to draft a Comprehensive Plan for the redevelopment of Post-Katrina New Orleans.
