My educational background includes a B.S. degree in Environmental Policy Analysis and Planning from the University of California at Davis. With experience ranging from Zero Waste to greenhouse gas emissions analysis, my knowledge of environmental issues in comprehensive.
After studying bike-friendly cities in Europe, I made the video, A Bicycle Story, to promote cycling as a healthy, low cost, environmentally-friendly, and fun activity. It won the Fit City competition and I was invited to participate as a delegate at the to the 2008 Oxford Health Alliance Summit in Sydney. The video has also been featured on Green.tv and on eBikeNews.
My work took an unexpected turn towards the fashion industry. From maintaining Bike by the Sea, a blog on Southern California Cycle Chic, I developed a curiosity in fashion. Interning with Bagonia, an eco-friendly handbag company, I learned the business of fashion. And as co-founder of Red Carpet Riders, a bicycle fashion group, my goal is to inspire fashionable urban cycling and create demand for bicycle infrastructure.
My long term goals include mastering urban design theory, and using creativity and innovation to promote Livable Streets.
