Now that overdraft protection is something you have to opt-in to (as of August 15, 2010), do you think you will opt-in? Or do you think you will choose not to participate? Many people use the service as a way to save themselves the embarrassment of being declined... but at $30 something dollars each time, is it worth it?

About Me

I am a CPA candidate currently working as a Senior Accountant for a CPA firm in North Carolina. I am currently playing a role in the firm's conversion to paperless auditing by setting up the workpapers and financial statements to automatically update from the trial balance.

I earned my Bachelor of Science degree(Magna Cum Laude) with a major in accounting from the University of Arizona. I began my career in Tucson, working for a CPA firm handling audits, taxes, non-profit consulting, and internal controls/fraud engagements. I have experience in several different industries including not-for-profits, common interest realty associations, construction contractors, employee benefit plans, government contractors, and privately held companies.

I am currently a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In 2010 I volunteered at the Tucson Festival of Books and have participated in several 5k charity runs.
