Catherine Storing I was playing around with lamb and lentils the other day, here are the results. http://tinyurl.com/ylgmrhd. I will definitely make this again. Make it a day ahead and your guests will love you. Just add flat bread and a nice bottle of wine.

Isao Kato I am in my mid-30s and sometimes I feel I might have completely missed out opportunities to build the life I want. I am single(recently divorced) with no kids and a job that is not great but suits me. If my friend tells me so I would staunchly disagree, but in reality I cannot help hearing that voice every now and then. Anybody has similar experience?

I realized I had to wake my mind up first by reminding myself that I chose the life I have now through actions, and, inactions. Like Catherine said our concerns are trying to tell us something and it's our job to dig deeper (with discipline) and clarify what that is about. Starting from scratch, I will explore my writing first to see where I would like to go and use that inner voice as my engine rather than threat.

I'm in early 30's married and have been at a Job that everyone on the outside thought was, "great" and then jumped ship to go to a job where I had little support and may not have been totally qualified for at the time. I had to do some soul searching looking back at my experiences (what I liked and what I didn't like), what I am good at and worked with books like, "What color is my parachute."

JR Moreau So I made a really good pea soup this weekend. One thing I learned is that split peas don't expand as much as lentils, so it was more brothy than I wanted, but still delicious. Added some smoked ham hocks too, which totally reminds me of my grandfather's cooking style. When in doubt, add pork haha

Catherine Storing Hello, My true passion is cooking; my goal is to have a succesful catering business in the Boston and south shore area within a year-I know a very lofty goal- but I'm sure I have what it takes. I am driven and motivated enough to get me where I want to be. Being my own boss is something I've always wanted to do. I am looking forward to sharing thoughts and inspiring others to achive their dreams. Whenever I think about my dream I can't help smiling in anticipation. Cooking makes me happy

She even offered to make me a radio commercial and put her on her daily radio show at no cost to me. So looking into your own network is key. I also overlooked my church connections and language skills-a huge plus as many churches are Spanish speaking only, so having a caterer that can cook their food and speak their language is key.

1 lb mild italian sausage
2 green pepper
2 red pepper

1 lemon
2 boxes Goya Arroz Amarillo
2 boxes chicken broth (i think 16 oz a piece)
Parsley

1)Cube chicken and cut up sausage into small piece (I don't take off the casing, but its up to you)
2) Put oil into large pan and fry chicken/sausage together until cooked.
3) Take out of pan and place on a platter
4) Chop vegetables and toss into pan. Cook veggies until brown (usually just a few min)

5) Put chicken&sausage back into the pan with the veggies.
6) Put in both boxes of rice
7) Pour in chicken broth so it covers entirely over veggies/meat.
8) Cover with a lid and let simmer on medium heat for about 10 minutes. After 10 min check to see if the rice is soft, if not add in more stock (don't add in water!).
9) Once the rice is cooked through, take off heat and let sit for 10 minutes.
10) Cut lemon in half and squeeze lemon on top. Chop parsley and do the same.
11) Enjoy!

Penelope Trunk Warning. I'm about to do a very bad personal branding move. Do not try this at home.... I'm so sad today that I can't think straight. And I can't get any work done. But then I thought, well, maybe if I were chatting in my group then that would 1. distract me from being sad and 2. count as me working, since really, on some level, it is my job to be doing this group. I mean, even when we are talking about Lance's (questionable) dating tactics, it still counts as work for me. Is anyone there?

I find if work is busy it distracts me (thank god), but then smthing happens &I lose my shit. Week after week, though, I stay longer, get more done, &enjoy it more. I think it's professional that you have this outlook that you want to keep things about past employers basic. Talking negatively about past employment is usually a turn-off in interviews anyways.
I think focusing on what you're looking for and what you're bringing to a role is always a good place to bring the conversation back to if you get off track. I'm guessing a good/professional interviewer isn't going to pry too much about the dirty layoff/quitting details anyways.
