About Me

I have idea's that will change the world. I believe that I was created for more than to sit in a cubical the rest of my life. I will use the creative mind and articulate speaking voice that God gracious gave me, even if it means I wait tables part time to do so. At 24 I have already been involved directly in launching three different companies, and all of them have failed so far. But I will not be defined by failures and I will never ever ever ever ever ever give up! I blog about what is close to my heart at my site, and you should find what you love doing too. For awhile I launched over 30 different web sites, but that grew to be exhausting by myself. I live in hawaii for a time and saw many people living happily with very little. They did what they loved, and lived where they wanted. What is holding you back from your dreams?

I have a great deal of experience in sales and customer service, I was really good at it. But I won't cold call for a living, and I am done with high pressure tactics that manipulate people's emotions. I get more out of helping a young group of college students I mentor at a Bible study once a week, then picking up a paycheck I made through deception. Loving money really is the root of all evil.

• I built a book of business from nothing. I had no formal training, and no help from the ownership. In the end I found that to be successful you had to constantly lie on paperwork, something that deeply bothered my conscience. You have to say that updates you know happened in 75' happened in 95', and that wood framed shopping centers are metal framed in order to get a building rating discount, just to name a few. When this was happening to the scale of millions in premium, I couldn't handle the sleepless nights.

• This was the only job I was ever allowed to truly be myself, and I went down in history as one of the greatest employees that this gym has ever had. I thrived in this environment. I was alloed to do everything from meet and greet customers, to build relationships with new clients through meeting needs, and even working a little in dispute mediation as a liason between accounting and customers. After being there four years, and closing at a higher percentage than any other salesman, I was given total autonomy in my craft. One night I decided to put on a special, and changed the marquee outside to read something outrageously cheap. I sold 32 gym memberships by myself, in two hours. All because individuals thrive when they are given the chance to truly be themselves in a positive work environment.

• I ran a cleaning company during high school with other members of my Varsity basketball team. It was the only way we could have jobs and still play ball, so we started our own company. We would go to school and play basketball during the day, and then clean offices and businesses at night. Our client list included several local banks, a dentist office, two churches, a day spa, and several investment offices. It was humbling work, cleaning toilets and picking up trash, but I loved it because it allowed me to do what I enjoyed in my spare time, play basketball.
