I observed over five years with my students that there are a lot of differences in body language, how to show respect in a different culture, intonation of voice and how to present your CV material. We have cultures in Europe, somehow still reluctant to use virtual setting, e.g. Italy. I think it is such an important topic to know how to 'click' with the interview culture.

I also liked the suggestion (stolen from the following article on working abroad: http://www.prettyyoungprofessional.com/jobschool/working-abroad.html) to leverage alumni in the area you're looking to work.
