Welcome to my profile. I am a leadership and learning instructor enthusiast of nine years in process management with expertise in manufacturing, hospitality, non-profit, and public service industries. I also add substantial value from extensive studies in team development, change management, and conflict resolution skills to any organization.
As an accomplished professional, I have acquired an unique skill set of strengths in people development and process re-engineering from various market segments ranging from sales, customer service, and business-to-business support in industries such as tourism, global manufacturing, technology, and hospitality/lodging.
During my post-secondary educational experience I discovered a passion for leadership and personal development. Since that time I have served in various leadership roles with numerous non-profit organizations revolving around people development. My current instructional projects includes the delivery of in-class technical skills of PeopleSoft Financials, redesigning Marriott’s conflict management class curriculum, and developing instructional guide in how to manage change based upon Hans Fenzel’s book "Change Is like a Slinky" with Marriott. Other past projects include but not limited to offshore cost analyst training with Kimberly Clark utilizing SAP, and financial audit training with various small accounting firms.
I am most honored to have received our department's customer care award for 1st & 2nd Quarter 2009 from leading a process/design change for forecasting financial data for Marriott's IR division. I am also grateful to serve on the Board of Directors for local ASTD chapter in 2010 and I am looking forward to serve the chapter in 2011.
I have several goals and aspirations in life that I am daily working towards accomplishing. Those range from becoming fluent in several foreign languages, advance studies in organizational theory and development, advance studies in adult learning for personal and professional development, and to enjoy the performing and creative artistic talents in my personal life. I am presently studying to become a certified project manager and will also be obtaining a certification in training as well.
Now for more exciting stuff about who I am outside of the cubical. I've been performing as a musician (keyboards) and singer for most of my life. My most recent project was underscoring (and acting) "Emmy & Granny" as a fundraiser for Historic Rugby, TN. My free time is presently spent in studio working on music demo's as I'm rekindling this passion when I'm not reading about leadership, socializing, or day dreaming where I would like life may take me next.
