There are some open source forum software systems. Generally you should play with different ones and see a) what your planned host supports -- for example GoDaddy has several open source offerings in their auto-install queue -- and b) what works best for you, seems the most intuitive to you. 121 weeks ago

If your goal is to use social media as a tool to reach your audience, and to interact with them, listen to them, and communicate WITH them, then you would want to use as many social media tools as your target audience does.

While my end goal is obviously to sell my product, I'm ultimately just selling myself first as everything online is about authenticity and trust.
