“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes but in having new eyes.”
- Marcel Proust
My background includes a diverse extent of education in business communications, graphic design, culinary arts and clinical psychology. What’s more, my professional experience is equally eclectic and includes cooking, event planning, brewing, marketing, advertising and sales. While this meandering through the landscapes of different careers may cause some to identify me as some sort of occupational drifter, I would contend that such variance has instead deepened my natural disposition to continually see the world with what Proust describes in this quote as “new eyes”. This childlike curiosity affords me the entrepreneurial insight to spot opportunity around me and address challenges from a fresh point of view.
I am actively looking for contract or full time work with marketing departments and agencies in account management, project coordination and development, brand management or any other position that I may be useful.
I have exceptional research skill, put to use in many of my former positions as I participated in strategic and competitive analysis under tight deadlines. In these projects, I have been involved in the development of new programs from ideation to implementation. This includes partnering with teams in gathering pertinent data, brainstorming, and generating recommendations for the development of plans and proposals.
Also, I am great with people and can listen, engage, and communicate with clients in light of their industry and specific business issues. Moreover, I stay very well informed of current social, political and business situations. This means I will provide fresh ideas appropriate for any project, relevant in light of the current state of affairs, and in harmony with the client’s needs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
* Outstanding interpersonal communication skill, both written and verbal
* Leadership qualities
* A background in design and an understanding of the design process
* Strong analytical thinking
* Retail and consultative sales experience
* Proactive, entrepreneurial and confident enough to take the initiative to get things done
* Capacity to manage multiple tasks at once while remaining flexible and self-sufficient
I believe I have the skills and passion to establish myself as a great addition to your team. Aside from my diverse experience, education, and interpersonal skill, I have the dedication and integrity required to succeed. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at BrianJosJen@Hotmail.com.

I was working on my doctorate in psychology but withdrew after one year (out of five). The experience was wonderful, helping to further develop my competency and understanding of communication, influence/persuasion, motivation, and empathy.
After college I moved to New York City (where I knew no one) to immerse myself in the culinary world. While there I learned about world cuisines, wine, and most importantly, myself.
