Brett Tollman - Overview

Brett Tollman is an international businessman, recognized for his 30 years of expertise and experience in global travel and tourism. He is known for his strong hands-on management and entrepreneurial skills, coupled with his generous philanthropic activities. Brett is President and CEO of TTC (The Travel Corporation), one of the world's leading travel and tourism companies. Brett has a long and colorful history in the tourism industry, having held several senior positions in corporate operations, global marketing, and personnel training. A native of South Africa, Brett relocated to the United States to further his university studies. He is a graduate of Cornell University, completing his studies in Hotel Management, and currently resides in California.

Professional Experience

In his position as President and CEO of TTC, Brett Tollman heads up a world-leading travel company, where he started his career in 1997. TTC is made up of 25 international travel and tourism firms and tour operators that include Red Carnation Hotels (where Brett is also CEO), Trafalgar Tours, Contiki Holidays, Creative Holidays, Insight Vacations, AAT Kings, Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection, Inspiring Journeys, Brendan Vacations, Lion World and African Travel. The Travel Corporation group handles over 1 million clients every year with travel to numerous world locations. Brett is a Vice Chairman of The World Travel & Tourism Council (WTTC), a global forum for industry leaders in travel and tourism. WTTC strives to raise global awareness for what is considered a leading worldwide industry, employing close to 235 million people, generating 9.3% of the global GDP and getting governments to be more aware of and involved in supporting their local Travel and Tourism industry, hence strengthening the public-private partnership.

Gifts of the Heart

A noted philanthropist, Brett Tollman believes in giving back to the community. His charitable activities include the co-founding of TTC's Conservation Foundation, established to protect culturally and ecologically sensitive tourist regions the world over. The Foundation supports preserving rain forests in Brazil, a joint project with WWF in Australia, a restoration study in Venice, and numerous conservation programs throughout the world. Brett is an active member and vice chairman of membership of YPO, the Young Presidents' Organization, in support of young company leaders the world over towards their own professional development. Brett actively promotes travel and tourism in his native South Africa, with TTC's generous support of The Amy Biehl Foundation, constructing houses for underprivileged families outside of Cape Town. During a recent visit to the region, TTC company delegates individually helped build nearly two dozen homes for these needy families. This TTC-funded project helped to encourage travel and tourism to South Africa, highlighted the beauty of the region, while generously donating to the community at large. In addition to constructing these much needed homes, TTC's visiting delegates hosted 600 young school children at a memorable day at a nearby amusement park.
