Hi, my name is Bob Dickson and I'm the President and Franchise owner of Dale Carnegie Training of Western CT.
I took the Dale Carnegie Course in Effective Communications and Human Relations back in 1997 when I was trying to get promoted into a sales position. I remember vividly the day I interviewed with the Regional VP of Sales and being told that they were hiring someone else because he was more polished. This stung as I always considered myself to be an achiever and great with people.
But I had a plan and knew this was just a temporary setback. I started looking around for ways to get that 'polish' so the next time I had an opportunity to interview I would get the job. Many roads led me to Dale Carnegie Training so I called up and enrolled. It was the best thing I ever did for my Career and Life! After taking the 12 week program it became easier to develop relationships, win people to my way of thinking and reduce unwanted stress. The biggest bonus was that I had an increased confidence to work with authority figures, which I had come to find out was holding me back. When I had a chance to work for Dale Carnegie Training I jumped on it. I couldn't have done it without first taking the program though. It was one of the best decisions of my life.
Over 8 million people around the world have taken a Dale Carnegie Program and many are influential leaders we all know.
