My favourite spin is to have three people question one person in round robin on multiple subjects, not letting the candidate get a full answer out for a few minutes. Then seeing how long it takes for them to get their composure back and take control of the situation, if they can get back in control.
To give you context I work in IT, but the lion’s share of my career has been in Business Critical System. For a number of years I ran the technology of trading desks, where people measure profit and loss of millions of dollars in a minute or two. Of course when they can’t make a decision is when they are always loosing money. They never understood or appreciated when I told them that the computer being down was protecting them from all their bad decisions they were not making. I have also worked on Pipeline control systems, where we had run off tanks. If the SCADA system went off line, (they control all the valves), the oil would be diverted to run off tanks. In the event the tanks filled up (we did not get the system back online in time), we started burning the oil or natural gas… what else can you do?!?! You could measure the down time in dollars per minute… Good times.

Although every job provides different pressures, they are a necessary evil toward achieving satisfaction with the task or job at hand.
