Aura Maria Abadia Flexibility is a must...especially if u are "new/foreing" in the market. U must be able to somehow show all kind of skills u have, and your willingness to cooperate and work. I would say that multicultural sensibility should also be one of the core competencies someone needs to build a global career, otherwise it is goint to be impossible to adapt and work in a team. I would think someone who doesn't have multicultural sensibility wouldn't choose this career pad, but u never know.

Flexibility is a core competency and sometimes not so easy to live. I think as well building cross-cultural networks is important. As we have all different cultural value and forms of communication, can be a challenge sometimes

Aura Maria Abadia I don't know what sector I would like to work, I don't have any preferences. I am just starting to my proffessional life so everything looks interesting to me. My motivation is to work with people from different parts of the world, since we all do things in different ways we could learn a lot from each other, and I think the dinamic of the group and the results are much better. Aura Maria Abadia So, entering a multi-national company might be a better option. But, will it help me have the chance to work in another country later? Not sure about that...even under the assumption that money us not the motivation but the joy of learning and working with other cultures, will I get that transfer? what would be the pad to make it?

JR Moreau: Good tips Aura. Basically, look before you leap and don't wait on it for too long because it might never happen!

Aura Maria Abadia "Pick a market and go" is a good option for those who don't have visa restrictions. Those who have visa restrictions will find themselves in a vicious circle that won't never let them work outside their countries and show the world what their countries are now. They are limited by some "imaginary lines" called borders, and also living a in world that is "erasing borders"...a global world.
