I am a map maker and spatial data wrangler who is working to become a full-fledged developer. I am experienced with the ESRI ArcGIS suite as well as in other geo-related technologies such as remote sensing, aerial photography, global positioning systems and web mapping applications. I also have experience in strategic planning, training, curriculum development, and management of GIS interns.
Acting as a librarian for a central repository of geospatial records. Search and obtain new GIS datasets, research and compose detailed metadata entries, convert to standard formats, streamline attribute tables, merge and split layers as needed to maintain directory structure and naming conventions. Use model builder and python scripting to automate large data processing tasks.

Created national flood rate insurance maps (FIRMs) according to FEMA specifications using ArcGIS 8.3 geodatabases and 8.2 coverages. Projects involved digitizing, data conversion, spatial editing and attribution to create a digital data repository, as well as annotation and symbology to produce hard copy maps. Also supported the FEMA headquarters as a disaster reservist creating maps to assist relief efforts during hurricanes.
