the Front Office delivered a 74% average of Preferred Standards of
Excellenceä score against a worldwide average of 82%, a 112% to 246%
PSE average scaled to staffing level according to Richey International
Benchmarking survey. Executed disciplined adherence to Revenue
Manager's goals and plan resulting in 14% increase in ADR and 9.9%
increase in room revenue.

BIO:
Asher most recently served as Director of Rooms Division for two
hotels, the Culver Hotel in Culver City, member of the National
Historic Preservation Trust and Hotel Beverly Terrace in Beverly
Hills, member of Luxe Worldwide Hotels, voted by Gayot guide the #1
Best Value Hotel in Beverly Hills 2008. He was responsible for
corporate and group inside sales, revenue management, rooms & front
office.
Prior to the Culver and Beverly Terrace, Asher served as Front Office
Manager at the Mosaic Hotel, Beverly Hills. The Mosaic was awarded Los
Angeles Magazine’s Best Boutique Hotel in 2007, a member of Preferred
Hotels & Resorts and managed by Gemstone Hotels and Resorts. His
position is a part of a five person management team operating the
premier luxury boutique hotel in Beverly Hills.
Asher served as Front Office Manager at the Huntley Santa Monica Beach
Hotel before the Mosaic. The Huntley transitioned during 2005 from
being a Radisson flagged hotel to a member of Preferred Hotels &
Resorts. His position was a key role in implementing organizational
change management. It also served as a key position in implementing
Preferred's upgraded guest services, in addition to day-to day front
office oversight.
Previously, while completing his studies at Pepperdine University and
earning an MBA in 2004, Asher started a new business venture, pet
luxury goods wholesaler, Ruff Ruff Couture. In addition, he worked at
Fox Stations Sales, a division of Fox Television Stations. At Ruff
Ruff Couture, he developed the brand, established manufacturing
partners and managed the supply chain, finance, sales and marketing.
With only $5000 start-up capital, the business has grown from six
retail clients to over 400 retail and online clients, $10,000 first
year to nearly $500,000 per year in sales. Asher is now a silent
partner.
Asher consulted from 2001-2002, engaging in public relations and
project management for companies, including Creative Planet, a portal
and online entertainment community and technology provider, Bob Gold &
Associates Public Relations, specializing in convergence and
middleware, and for Castle Advertising/Ronco Inventions, Ron Popeil, a
direct response pioneer whose products include: the Ronco rotisserie
oven, the pocket fisherman, etc.
Previously, he was marketing communications manager for the
high-profile Massive Media Group, Inc., a digital rights management
provider. He was responsible for the launch of Massive Media and
worked extensively with InterTrust Technologies, Massive Media Group’s
technology partner on media outreach. Asher crafted the company’s
public speaking points for key executives who previously headed major
media companies, Frank Biondi (MGM/UA), Howard Weitzman (Universal),
Greg Meidel (Paramount Television) and Michael Kassan (Initiative
Media).
At FasTV, Inc., Asher served as manager of marketing and was the
company's second employee. During his first year, he was responsible
for day-to-day corporate operations and participated in crafting the
company’s vision and brand identity. Throughout, he was responsible
for strategic, creative and media aspects for the company and for
FasTV.com, voted one the 10 best media sites on the sites by PC
Weekly, and for the critically acclaimed business-to-business video
publishing service "FasTV Newsroom" used by television broadcast
groups to power web video streaming and editing tools.
His marketing projects and efforts at FasTV, Inc. included working
with television and cable networks, local television stations, sports
leagues, motion picture studios and record labels including: CNN,
Reuters, Bloomberg, Associated Press, IMG, NHL, Wimbledon and the PGA.
In addition to consumer marketing, he was responsible for creating and
implementing promotional partnerships to enhance traffic and revenue.
Additional efforts included working with new business community groups
and non-profits including: Radio-Television News Directors
Association, National Association of Television Production Executives,
Digital Coast Roundtable, Digital Hollywood, Lawnmower and the Venice
Interactive Group.
Asher's post-baccalaureate career started at The Gersh Agency, a
talent and literary agency. In addition to his MBA from Pepperdine
University, he holds a BA in Political Science with an emphasis in
economic development from San Francisco State University.
