About Me

I am a self-motivated, highly organized, deadline-oriented professional that has superior writing and editing skills. As my numerous clips demonstrate, my ability to shape facts and information into clear elaborate pieces of writing is exceptional. I have a B.F.A in creative writing and four years of hands on experience in the publishing industry.

My current position as editorial coordinator at Pearson Education is a detail oriented, high pressure job requiring strict attention to deadlines copy editing products from the K-6 Reading Curriculum. Over the past year I have worked on several similar products, tracking them from early stages to their completion through the publishing process. This involves minding the work flow of pages and editing manuscript for repetition, contradiction, misspellings, punctuation and grammar. I also insert correct reference information as needed. This job has tested my ability at time and project management but I am always coming up with ways to make my work more efficient.

My aim is to continue to seek opportunities as both an editor and writer within the publishing industry. There is nothing I love more than finding ways to use my talent and skills to produce high quality work.
