Kat Argonza I'm looking for people to review my blog. It's almost one month old and I think I've almost "got it" when it comes to the layout and the voice. Now I'm just looking for whatever constructive criticism I can get on it so that I can start off on the right foot. I'm at http://www.wayfaring-stranger.com. Any thoughts?

Nataliya Deleva Hi all, I need to pick up your brains here. I am looking for best practices for planning and pitching for social media accounts. How do you, guys, contact potential clients and win business? Can you share your winning practices in wining business and convincing clients social media does work and it's something their business would benefit from? Thanks!

One of the ways I do this is to use actual case studies. Zappos is one of the bigger ones, but many other large and small companies have been documented as getting a positive ROI from SM.

I totally agree with you that case studies are crucial when convincing client to move their marketing and advertising spend to social media. It's indeed very important to show potential clients what's work and what the ROI would be. Thanks you!

As for books, check out the SEOBook (at SEOBook.com) by Aaron Wall. While I do not agree with all his comments, it is an excellent book. For an introductory book, check out SEO for Dummies.

Eric Marshall Okay, so based on the feedback, we're going to go for it. I've been plotting this in my head for the last day now, but I would really like those of you with experience in this field to guide me if I let us fall off track with this. I would start there, and improve that, and then turn to the blog and social media. i agree that Twitter and Facebook would be good, but there are also specialized networks for musicians. In addition, what about local schools and their musical classes?

Since they work with local bands, they should use them. Often local bands have HUGE social media presence and work very hard to create a fan base. Ask musicians to link back to their site. Incoming links will push them up in the google search result rankings. And if they post the details of each event they have on their site, the bands performing should link back to that information

Chad Johnston What guidelines do you use to decide who to follow? I don't autofollow and look at a person's stream to decide if I want to follow back. For me, I want original content. I usually stay away from users whose tweets are all retweets or links. Ads are a big turn-off for me, as are too many hashtags. Am I too picky?

If I feel like people don't interact or offer value, there's not point in having them on my feed. It's made my Twitter experiences much more enjoyable.
