About Me

I'm a non-traditional lawyer. I found my way out of life in a law firm and into a corporate job where I do about half law and half business...

In the office, I help our sales people sell, understand, and explain complicated insurance contracts to all types of companies. Basically, I'm a teacher, a researcher, a marketer, and a writer.

Outside of the office, I help prospective law students understand what it means (and costs!) to go to law school and become a lawyer.

• Currently serving as coverage counsel for one of the top 5 largest commercial wholesale insurance brokerage companies advising brokers and agents on the specifics of management and professional liability insurance coverage. In addition, I manage practice group development, drive email marketing content, and produce internal tools via SharePoint to provide our sales staff with easy access to information explaining complicated coverage details and changing insurance marketplace issues.

• Assisted on multi-million dollar class action lawsuits against multiple health care insurance companies, coordinated research and responses with co-counsel nationwide, and drafted deeds of trust, contracts, and other documents for transactional practice.
