I am a twenty-seven year corporate veteran and was most recently, Vice-President, Network and Cable Research, for a major television and motion picture studio in Los Angeles.
I have written a career advice book for Generation Y called From Graduation To Corporation: The Practical Guide to Climbing The Corporate Ladder One Rung at a Time (the second edition was recently published). The book is designed to help Generation Y overcome the generation gap at work by inviting The Millennials to go inside the head of a corporate veteran. By examining the thought processes of someone from an older generation, members of Gen Y can bridge the gap between their expectations and the expectations of their supervisors.
I graduated from Rutgers College with B.A. degrees in Business Administration and Human Communications. Speaking of college, I've lectured at over 40 colleges and universities, giving career advice to students.
I have traveled to all seven continents, have bicycled from New Jersey to Florida (5 days after college graduation),have hiked to the summit of Pikes Peak in Colorado, and completed a 14 hour hike from the top of the Grand Canyon to the bottom back to the top in one day. Oh yes, I've also camped out in Antarctica (which I don't need to do again!).
