About Me

When Andrew Tessmer was born on the 12th day of May, 1988 no one knew what he would become... and they are still guessing to this day. So today he decided to change that fact and make it known that he is a newly graduated 22 year old looking to start a career in the Public Relations field.

During my time in college--at Lindenwood University in St. Charles, Mo-- I participated in a few organizations. From Delta Sigma Pi, a co-ed business Fraternity to Alpha Phi Omega, a national co-ed service fraternity. I served as an officer in both fraternities and learned valuable leadership skills while doing so.

Also, while attending Lindenwood, I had to opportunity of working in the Public Relations department for two years, here I learned the basics of the profession, from crafting the perfect press release to compiling news clippings from the days publications.

I also worked on the other side of the media as a reporter and columnist for Lindenwood's student newspaper--the LU Legacy for my second two years at Lindenwood. Here I learned the craft of the interview and forming professional relationships with valuable and reputable sources.

My time in college, both in and out of the classroom was a valuable and important learning experience where I learned that anything and everything can be achieved with a plan and certain level of tenacity. I am using this plan of attack to land the perfect position in the Public Relations field, and I hope my contacts new and old can give me some helpful information to find direction and lead me on a path to that perfect position.

When not chasing that perfect job Andrew enjoys the muggy and humid summer nights in Middle America with his family, girlfriend and friends. A fan of John Grisham novels, Cardinals Baseball, toasted ravioli, and Budweiser Andrew is a prime example of what it is to be a midwesterner.
