About Me

Andrew Lander is a second year graduate student studying social media trends at Georgetown University's Communication, Culture and Technology Program. He is also a Program Associate for One Economy Corporation; a non-profit organization that leverages the power of broadband to better the lives of the underserved.

He is also a food and web 2.0/tech blogger at Mad Hungry

His career goal is to to be a social networking consultant to businesses looking to boost productivity or interest in their product/service and to provide online content/reviews to any popular food network, blog, or magazine.

  • Daily tasks include: writing and editing press releases, assembling press/media lists, updating the employee website with past and present speaking engagements, and adding press clips to the corporate website

    Other tasks include: researching communities and writing descriptions for them, drafting memorandums of understanding, uploading company pictures to Flickr, taking minutes during meetings, and occasionally sitting at the front desk and answering/transferring phone calls

    Projects: Google Sites Project, PiC.tv and Diary of a Single Mom - Atlanta Premier, 21st Century Communities, Health Care For You.

    Microsoft Office (Word & Excel mostly) is used on a daily basis.
