I am interested in environmental justice and international development policy. I do work surrounding public infrastructure and collective action problems, specifically relating to water, sanitation, and agriculture. I have done research on water, agriculture, and related policy with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Stanford Civil Engineering, and The World Bank. Last summer I spent two months in Senegal as the GIS Field Manager of a Stanford/World Bank research project on water and sanitation. At Stanford University, I have been an elected member of the Undergraduate Senate and am currently a member of the Stanford Daily Editorial Board. I will be spending 6 weeks at a public policy fellowship in Princeton this summer. The next 6 weeks I will be doing a study with the Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute in Panama on the sustainability of a sanitation system, with the goal of providing policy suggestions on future projects.
