Ryan Paugh The whole nomad lifestyle has always intrigued me and I've talked about it here before. Today I read a post (http://bit.ly/9Bfyhz) from a Brazen blogger who is living the nomad life and they brought up an interesting thing that I have always wondered about: What do nomads call home? I think that we all require a "home" on some level even if it's just a cafe you frequent to sit down and write. So I'm wondering: How do all of you nomads out there find your feeling of home?

For me at least it is hard to pinpoint one place I call home. I started my life in the UK, lived most of it in various places around the US, have traveled/worked in West EU for over a decade and now live/work in East EU. My personal and work life have taken me to many places and I honestly don't consider just one as 'home'. I don't really feel the need to belong permanently. It is at best, wherever my heart is still and my head rests for that given journey in life. This is probably why i love the LIfe (location independent work life).

I just got back from a vacation with my girlfriend and my parents and that felt like home even though were staying in a condo that wasn't ours. When I'm with the people that matter to me, I'm the most relaxed and comfortable. Sounds like home sort of means the same thing to us, Rhonda.

William Bryan Man I had an awesome post to write yesterday. I thought about it yesterday when I was with my friends at a bar/lounge and then when I came home, nothing I totally forgot what I was going to write about. Has this happened to you? What do you do when you have an idea to blog about and you are not near a computer? It really made me angry and I don't want it to happen again. thanks in advance.

Luckily though, we have made advancements in the technological world and don't have to have anything more than our Smartphones. In my phone, I have a notes section where I jot down all kinds of things when I don't have paper nearby (sometimes even my grocery list). If you don't have a smartphone you could always just text yourself the idea before it gets away.

Rebecca Thorman Is any job better than no job? (http://nyti.ms/9QAh0k) If you were or are unemployed, would you ever consider taking a job that was seemingly beneath you? I believe that every job has a lot of learning potential, so there are few instances when you shouldn't take a position. On the flip side, I've never had to look for work (knock on wood that continues), and I can see how maybe taking a job - any job - could be bad. What do you think?

Keeping busy is the best way to network, get the juices flowing both mentally and physically. I tried being unemployed for two weeks and I was climbing the walls. I took the first job that interested me (a non-profit gig, even though I loathe working in offices). The contacts that I made there were priceless and it led me to work another stint overseas. See, you never know where any "job" is going to take you. Like Rupaul says: " You betta' WORK!"

I therefore have a related question then, I am at the very beginnings of starting a niche community www.marketinglowdown.com which is designed specifically for those either studying marketing (or related fields), thinking of a career in the industry and or new to the industry. At the moment it is really focussing on Australia, in order to help with the sheer volume of relevant material out there etc. What kinds of things would a website like this have to provide in order to attract and maintain an active community? Or do you think a niche such as this will struggle to maintain regular contributors?

Family friends, friends already graduated, people local to school, recruiters. Just talk to everyone and ask honest questions.

Once you know what you want to do, there's a variety of ways you can create opportunities for yourself. I'd advise you to never apply online to a job. But that's just because I'm old school and truly believe in the importance of networking.

Essentially, once you know what you want to do, talk to everyone about it. Ask who they know who you could talk to about it. Smile a bunch!

Also, you'll do great. And who knows by next June, I might have a job for you. Make sure you keep us here at Brazen in the loop!

Emily Jasper I just finished "Eat Pray Love" because everyone's talking about the movie. I have to say, after all the hype out there, the book wasn't what I expected. I guess it's because I was thrown by the Julia Roberts casting: she's 43 playing a 34 year old. The problems Liz has are ones I'd deal with (young successful woman, trying to deal with how she feels about marriage and kids, plus feeling like a failure by 30). I almost wish I read the book before knowing about the movie. Thoughts?

I was already half-way through the book when the movie/casting was announced so it didn't bother me that much, but it does seem like it adds a different facet to the plot because I do see Julia Roberts as older so her characters will be too. Most of the time now I have to view the movie as totally separate from the book anyway, because they almost never do the books justice. (Completely different, but take Harry Potter for example. I have to think of them not as one based on another, but completely separate or I get angry at how the movies have failed the writing.)

There's so much pressure on being "Facebook official," not to mention I know plenty of people who've been driven to the brink of insanity stalking every wall post, photo, video and update of their significant others. People stalk instead of talk now. What's the first thing you do when you emet someone knew now? Check out their social media profiles. Also, people tend to assume things about you based on how you and your significant other interact online. There's just a lot of added pressure and your relationship becomes a lot less private - if you break up, everybody knows.

Meghan Skiff When you have a bad day..is it ok to vent on Twitter, FB? I have a few FB friends who are constantly airing their negativity via very dramatic status updates. Also, it seems like what they are "going through" are normal life frustrations. Sure, we all have bad days, but I think it might be really easy to brand ourselves as a "Negative Nancy" if we aren't diligent about how we communicate these feelings. Anyone have any thoughts on this? What is/is not appropriate to rant about online?

I do a lot of outreach to utility customers on a day-to-day basis and my personality/charm are never so highlighted as they are on the phone. Ya know what they say, "Smile when you answer the phone, the person on the other end can hear it." That is so true for phones but not true with text. Granted, I do work with a few younger, tech-savvy contractors who prefer to email or text which is fine by me. But the majority of the workforce right now is not so young and tech savvy. At least 30% of the customers and contractors I work with *despise* email and couldn't tell you what a text message is so I will stick with the phone. :)

I say that sometimes you should work for comments. Not in the greedy way of just collecting readers but to collect constructive criticism to yourself. See what you can do better and see what you have done right.

I get excited to when someone comments but a lot of the time I write just to write. Hence the first sentence I wrote on this comment.
