I recently moved to San Francisco from Boston, and I'm seeking a job in PR (or at any company where they treat their employees well, really). Preferably, I'd like to work with social media in any of the following industries: consumer, sports, entertainment, lifestyle, music, healthcare, B2B, non-profit, and any others you might be willing to suggest outside of technology and security.
Lots of people ask me why I moved. The simplest answer is because I wanted to. The long answer is I'm originally from Chicago, went to Boston University for undergrad and stayed in Boston for a year and a half working at SHIFT Communications, a tech PR agency specializing in traditional and social media public relations. And after spending my upbringing in the Midwest, my young adulthood in the East, it's now time to give the West coast a fair shake.
I graduated from BU with two degrees in four years: one degree in public relations and another in psychology. If my next job in PR doesn't work out, I'm considering returning to school to pursue a master's in social work or counseling, or perhaps a PhD in psychiatry. I don't foresee that happening any time soon, though, and I'd say right now, my talents best lie in the PR realm.
If you ever need help with anything, please ask me. I might not be able to, but I'll try to put you in touch with someone who will be able to better help you.
I'm a friendly person, so if we're not already Facebook friends, friend me. Might it entice you to know that I DON'T untag any photos of myself? It might cost me a job somewhere down the line, but I figure any job that would fire me for Facebook photos is probably somewhere I shouldn't be working anyway.
Anything else you want to know? Probably not. There is nothing else. Well, nothing else you can't already find on the Internet. (Actually, you'll get a pretty good idea of what I'm like if you Google me.) Or ask.
