Allison Jennings I am in the process of looking for a new job, I majored in Graphic Design, and have web design experience. I also have some real estate marketing experience. I am looking for a marketing-type job but I one that isn't writing intensive. I'm a decent writer, but I am more interested in something that I can use my creativity and knowledge without having to be constantly writing. I am looking for suggestions on what this type of job would be and possibly where to look for this type of job?

Dana is right that it will probably be more in small to mid-size company that could use a hybrid sort of skill set that you bring to the table. There are, also, advertising and marketing firms that specialize in real estate exclusively and you may wish to explore your area to see what's out there. They do everything from account work, marketing, copy writing, sales promotion, advertising and design. So do real estate management firms and developers. So those are some avenues to explore. Your resume will be quite important so it brands you specifically as to what your goals, strengths and specialty are and doesn't come off reading like a jack of all trades. Be very specific as how you market yourself in your resume. Your Profile or Summary statement is key here and in your work experience highlight how your responsibilities key into your career goals now. It's the unique opportunity that you are seeking, as the more prevalent jobs as I'm sure you know are for specialist, writers or designers or marketing pros. But it's always good to be well rounded because you bring so much more to the table. Hope some of this helped and good luck to you in your search.

Allison Jennings How do you emphasize on your resume that you have social media experience. I am looking for a new job, and would like to possibly do social media marketing, but not sure where to look.

If you've worked ...MoreYou've been given good advice here, but what is your social media experience, how extensive is it and how can you demonstrate it? If you've worked for social media companies, then it will be obvious, but if it was only part of job, you will have to be specific as to what your actual involvement and responsibilities were and how effective were the results of your efforts. Was it a team effort or did you work independently? And what aspect of social media are you looking in for work? You have to be more specific. Since social media is online, you should be able to give URLs to those sites that you were involved in. Best in your search.

Allison Jennings How do you find a coach in your area? Its been recommended to me that I get one, and I'm not sure how to go about finding one, and what to expect when i meet them?

As the coachee, I want to work with someone who is tune with and demonstrates the exact traits I'm looking to them to help me develop in myself. I would get clear on that first, really figure out your motivations and goals for seeking a coach, and then seek coaches who cater to your professional or personal area of interest, and narrow it down from there based upon those qualities they need to be able to share. Good luck! Let me know if I can offer any additional insight. dana@aspyresolutions.com

Peggy Titus-Hall: You can start with the International Coach Federation (ICF) (MoreYou can start with the International Coach Federation (ICF) (www.coachfederation.com). There is a "find-a-coach" link so you can use to find a coach in your area. Also check the ICF site for coach associations in Wisconsin. If there is one, you can go on its website and probably find a coach there as well. Of course, you really don't have to use a coach in your particular area. I have worked with career transition clients all over the U.S. Check out my website: www.peoplegrowthllc.com. Good luck!

Allison Jennings I have a reference related question. Most of my references are retiring. Do I need to choose new references or should I switch their phone numbers to home/cell phone numbers rather than their office phone numbers?

When and if you are asked for references, contact the people who will give you your references and alert them that they will be contacted and ask them what number you should give. Actually, you don't even have to put "References available upon request" on your resume. It's a given that should someone be interested in hiring they will ask you directly for references. Best of luck to you! :)

Ryan Paugh Hey guys. How about that heat wave? Since the weather is getting nicer and nicer I'm really thinking a lot about putting some Madison Tweet Ups together. I'm thinking that the best way to get started is to create a Brazen/Madison Twitter List. So reply below with your Twitter handle so I can start putting a list of people together.

Kevin Von Qualen how many of you use flickr? with such small size limits on uploading, why not a blog or a better pay service? I find gallery difficult too.
