A native of Connecticut and graduate of the George Washington University, I recently had the good fortune to move back to the Nutmeg State after nine years in our nation's capital.
My passion has always been at the intersection of politics and technology. During my time in DC I used adamjschmidt.com to keep in touch with Connecticut politics and to provide commentary on national events. I also had the opportunity to serve as a guest contributor on the BBC during the 2008 presidential race.
Most recently I've been doing communications and eCampaign consulting work independently for political clients here in Connecticut with an emphasis on new media. However, I'm in the process of seeking a communications position with an established firm that will build on my new media background and provide the challenge of working with a more diverse set of client accounts.
My wife and I currently reside in Stamford, Connecticut where we live with our incorrigible dog Ellie.
