Asking this question for a friend. For looking at math finance opportunities, where would be typical and perhaps good cities in the US for example to look? My guess would be mainly New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, Miami, maybe Boston. It would be great to hear what you think. Thanks.

I think that would be analogous of me applying to oil companies in Alberta. I'm not a big fan of working in oil and gas industry personally.

I'm thinking for 2010 I want to cancel my cable to help me meet some of my 2010 Goals (i.e. Save more money, read more books, get involved in more philanthropy). I'm having a hard time convincing myself (i'm an avid sports fan, can't live without MadMen and Million Dollar Listing) and keep CNN on all the time.
Any one going without their cable? Any help?

I recommend my girlfriend's approach to finding the right antenna. She went to the store and bought 4-5 antennas, tried them all out at her place and returned all but the best the next day. I've convinced 2 people to change this year and they both said the same thing - they're just so mad they paid for cable so long.
