TOP IDEA: Edward Antrobus In an effort to be more of a full-serve, one-stop shop, I've expanded my ebook file conversion service into a full-blown e-publisher. Not only will SEAM Publishing convert your files to ebook files capable of being read on the Kindle, Nook, iPad, etc, but now I will list them for you on Amazon & Barnes & Noble as well! Please check out http://www.seampublishing to tell me what you think of the site I put together for this project. Thanks.

Brett Kunsch I'm rebranding and revamping my website/blog this month. I've heard Genesis and Thesis are great, and want something that a non-developer (i.e. ME) can use. I want to be able to basically do anything my crazy mind thinks up with with an easy to use design dash that integrates with Wordpress. Any recommendations? BIG thanks all :)

Pete Collins Do you delete any of your blog posts? My blogging is quite variable in terms of quality, so should I get rid of some older ones that I don't really like, don't link to, and have hardly got any views? It would increase the average quality of my posts, but decrease the quantity. What do you do?

Edward Antrobus Wanted to get opinions on a tactic I just witnessed. First impression is that it's kind of sleazy. I write a blog about job searching. The other day, I saw "job search tips" + "commentluv" as one of the search terms in Analytics. Later, there was a comment awaiting moderation from someone with a website of free-job-search-websites.com The comment was about the post, so not obviously spam, but it didn't really add anything to the discussion either. Really just to add a backlink to their site.

Technically CommentLuv is to reward people for commenting, essentially providing a comment incentive yes? So somebody was looking for relevant blogs to comment on. OK, fair enough. That the comment wasn't fantastic is a bummer. It did relate to the post and was left by a human which is pretty much the criteria for commenting on my site.

I will admit I WAS listed on a commentluv do follow directory and got more than a few "opportunistic commenters" so I DID remove myself from the directory. So while I think that opportunistic commenting is technically fair game, I did take action when I felt I was getting too many of these types of comments.

Another option with Comment Luv premium is to limit backlinks to people who have left X approved comments on your site (presumably a deterrent to people who aren't really going to stick around that long).

I don't mean it exactly in the common terms of "warm, fuzzy feeling of accomplishment" vs external reward. TOP IDEA: Jon Bishop I found a very bad call to action plugin on WordPress so I decided to create my own that made use of WordPress 3.0 custom post types and sidebar widgets. http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/call-to-action/ It is very much still in beta but I am using it on my site with great success. I personally believe that people should take ownership of their content and running their own blog whether that's WordPress, Drupal or whatever. It's just important not to create all your content inside of corporate silos. It's better for someone to publish on a WordPress blog with a plugin that pushes their posts to Tumblr, Facebook and Twitter.

YouTube is a little different because 1) it's hard for average people to encode and publish video on the web without the help of a YouTube, Vimeo, or the like. 2) They aren't creating their content on YouTube, but rather they are just publishing it. In theory they could cross post to Vimeo if YouTube banned them.
