Ryan Paugh Halloween is over and I can feel the Holidays approaching quick. I get so much anxiety around the Holidays. Mostly around gift giving and being the guy who is always running around last minute looking for presents. So I'm determined to start early this year and probably do everything online. What do you guys think is an appropriate gift for bosses and colleagues? Can you buy them booze in your office culture or do you aim for something more tame?

Cheryl Lynn Morris For Halloween, I bought an opague black wine bottle in the form of a cat and took it to my mother's as both decoration and drink.

Danielle Albright So today I went to my first winery in central Florida. I hand picked my own muscadine grapes including carlos white wine ones and Noble red wine ones.. I feel like I gained a new appreciation for wine. This is probally especially interesting in the bigger wine areas like Napa valley or European countries. Has anyone else done this kind of thing?

Ryan Paugh Do you ever drink with your boss or business partners? I drank Scotch with Penelope once when we used to work out of Ryan Healy and my crappy apartment. It was hilarious. I don't think that everyone out there could get away with the kind of craziness that we got away with because my one business partner is my fraternity brother and the other one is ... well ... Penelope. So how do you handle booze around people who you want to trust you?

It was always nice to see people loosen up. And besides that, who knows you better than yourself, in how much you can handle!

molly Wine Tasting tip: Have a piece of Milk Chocolate between tasting white and red wines. It eliminates the acidity left behind by the white wine and readies your mouth for the tannins in the reds!

Daniela Bolzmann I had THE BEST wine the other night, I had been saving this bottle from @winelabnewport to share with my boyfriend because he loves Boulevard restaurant, SF and their wine director has his own line of wines: Skylark - Las Aves 2007 from Mendocino County. My boyfriend and I were amazed when we drank it, perfectly described as textured, expressive and creamy. This would be a great addition to any meal. So to answer Brian Jensen's post, that is what we will be drinking this Thanksgiving, Cheers!

If anyone lives in Orange County or is visiting southern CA, there is a new place on Main St. in Huntington Beach called Main Street Wine Company. Awesome wines, good prices, and a bar so you can try one out before you buy. Oh and great music/atmosphere!

A little pricey, but good.

: I have been to Zimzala once, I got Sangria. It seemed like the best deal because it came in a really big glass. :)

Brian Jensen Just opened a bottle of 2004 Chalk Hill Chard, fantastic. The best part about it is I got it for $10 marked down from $46 thanks to a reset!

Chris Paugh Simi Cab is one of my favorite red wines. It has a vanilla & black cherry flavor with a hint of cocoa. Really good. What's your favorite?

Jessica: I agree with Shannon, I have yet to find a Malbec that I haven't fallen in love with!

Brian Jensen Insider info: go to any grocery chain & ask the store manager when the next wine "reset" is, the day after selected wines are 50-75% off.

Jamie Ginsberg No Brian, I checked out one a while ago and was not impressed, I thought Gary Vaynerchuck had one coming, but I haven't seen it.

Brian Jensen: I've been using a free one called "Velvet Vine" (weird name, I know). With it I can take photos of labels and write notes, so far I like it.
