Leena Chugh At what point do you end an email exchange? How many Thank you's? The client asked for something (1st email). I delivered it (2nd email). He said thank you for delivering (3rd email). Do you write a 4th email saying 'Thanks for acknowledging' or 'My pleasure' or skip it? I feel that the 4th one is nice courtesy but just extends it a little too much.

My advice to you Leena is if it feels right send it but if your questioning yourself then dont!

I am looking forward to being back in Minnesota. I participated in the AmeriCorp VISTA program while in Mankato, it was a great experience. It gave me the opportunity to learn some non-profit skills and to give back to the community I was living in.

I am preferring the St. Paul area, it always seemed more "neighborhood" oriented than Minneapolis. Of course not having procuring employment is the greatest concern. I am looking in the training and development areas, as well as entry-level HR. I am afraid, I will probably have to broaden my search to include more general administrative and clerical type positions.

Also, where is the best Mexican restaurants? We don't have any great ones here in Marquette.

Sabera (Kapasi) Photographer What's your elevator pitch? Is there a structure you follow in what you say when you introduce yourself in a professional setting? Do you always state your role + company, or you state your function. Or both? Any rules you follow? What works and what sticks in people's minds?

In my old role, I usually said something like: "I'm Lindsey and I'm a marketing manager at Express Employment Professionals, formerly Express Personnel Services (because we had recently changed company names and most people locally were more familiar with the old name). I create marketing programs to help our franchisees gain new business and find great people to put to work."
Now I guess I'll say something like: "I'm Lindsey, and I'm an account exec at Anglin PR. I focus on creating and implementing PR strategies for local small businesses, non-profits, and educational groups."

We're about to crowdsource a vote for startup funds among 16 people who applied for and got into a grant-funded entrepreneurship program I ran. We video taped their pitches. Once those pitches are online I'll send a link, Fundamentally, we asked them to look into the camera and convince me to fund their idea. It's a lot harder than it would seem.

On a tangent, have you read a book called 'Connected' by Christakis and Fowler? I read an article about it a while ago and they conclude that the network we are in, not just people we know directly, but people we may never have met, have an impact on our health. I wonder about using online social networks to map health, or improve/influence it.

Email marketing has always been limited in its delivery format and cross email client inconsistencies. Regardless of this, many email marketers are pushing the boundaries on design and what can be accomplished.
