La Donna Lokey Wow! Summify was bought by Twitter and will be shutting down! For time-challenged techies (a.k.a. all of us), Summify took away the repetition factor in Twitter and organized the most relevant stories in a digest format. I hope Twitter has a plan, or someone else will surely step in to fill the gap. http://tcrn.ch/yIwvnz

La Donna Lokey How do you organize your social media activities (or do you)? Do you visit sites like Twitter and FB directly, or use something like Tweetdeck (or Brazen!) where you can update many sites at once?

Mehul Kar Is there a WP plugin that will grab a random post and tweet it out with with my favorite url shortener at random times of the day? I'd like to do some shameless self promotion a little more.

Rebecca Thorman: I just did a quick search of "random tweet" at MoreI just did a quick search of "random tweet" at http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/ and it seems several do -- http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tweet-old-post/ and http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/tweet-random/ - if you are in your Wordpress admin, navigate to Plugins, click "Add New" and do the same search. Then you can upload and activate automatically instead of having to mess around with FTP.

Mehul Kar Does anyone know how to send facebook status updates to twitter (not necessarily a fan page update, but a profile update). There are plenty of applications for the other way around (twitter to fb). All the articles that pop up on googling are old and no longer relevant after twitter changed its authorization procedure.

Mehul Kar I'd like to subscribe and be notified when a particular person favorites something on twitter. Is this possible?

Stephen Alred: As it stands, I don't believe so. There are tons of twitter applications so you may be able to find one that has the capability you are looking for.

Ryan Paugh Have you ever paid attention to a Twitter ad? And by Twitter ads I mean the promoted trends and tweets that show up on Twitter's homepage and on specific searches. I've never thought twice about them and I just read in AdAge that they actually get a good return. 5% click through compared to 1% with traditional ads. Interested in what you guys think of this ...

The reason I'm in recruiting is to help people access the jobs they're going to love doing. Thanks for starting the conversation. Wish it was 1-2... but I guess you get what you get. There are tons of people who have posted their resumes - typically in this format: @Name/Jobtitle/Location/Industry/linkedinprofile link/descriptive key words. I believe Margo Rose (@HRMargo) has launched #HireFriday in the UK, Canada and France.

Ryan Paugh Would you use Twitter if it was a paid service? If your answer is yes then you're definitely in the minority. A recent survey on 2K people found that zero percent would use Twtter if they had to pay for it. I'm not surprised, are you? Andrew Hill So for everyone who is trying to figure twitter out and has figured twitter out, what strategies do you guys and gals use to get more followers? I started off by following 2000 people who had similer interests and then got a few hundred followers but in the end it didn't really work. Recently I unfollowed all 2001 and just refollowed the 300 or so that were following me, and guess what, I've now got 200 more followers in almost a week. What did you or are you doing to become a superpower?

I think 10 high-quality, interactive followers are worth more than 1000 followers who just want to broadcast to a horde of reciprocal-follower warm bodies. I've reached about 250ish real followers (ie, followers who are actually interested in what I have to say), most of whom I follow back, and that feels pretty comfy for me.
