Telemedicine- "A New Form of Medicine"
Telemedicine is a fast growing form of clinical medicine. It can be in the form of two doctors discussing a patient over the phone, to a full blown consultation via satellite. Consultations via satellite can be a great way to help the health care system. People with or without insurance can have annual exams, including, blood work, EKG's, etc.., without having to go to the Dr.'s office, and without paying the expensive medical bills. This network has been started to discuss ways in which we can educate the community on the advantages of telemedicine. As well, how to give this advantageous application of health care a jump start in order for it to better the health care system.

The Southern California Kick-Off Symposium went amazing today! Plenty of ideas were thrown around as to how we can get this improved health care system moving. We still have a little ways to go with the legislative aspect, but the ideas and technology that have been and continue to be developed are truly a great start!

Both will give you some better insight into what this really is and can mean for our health care system as well as our country/world as a whole!
