portfolio career – essentially doing two or more jobs for
different employers.
It begins by reframing work around YOU and playing to your greatest
strengths. Part-time, full-time, working for yourself and/or for an
organisation, the choice is yours. In the UK, at least a million people are already experiencing the benefits of a portfolio career.
It is not for everyone but we have been exploring this topic for almost 2 years, interviewed many portfolio workers and our book on this topic is out in the UK in October - 'And What Do You Do? 10 Steps to Creating a Portfolio Career', A&C Black,2009.

Nicole sums up some of the key pluses. We say that it can provide fulfilment, flexicurity, freedom and financial independence. We had a great book launch on the 19th November at 1 Alfred Place,an entrepreneurs club in London. 70+ people for the breakfast event. We were filmed and interviewed especially by Americans with fancy new iphone applications like IPadio. Must try that out when I next want to catch someone's comments and thoughts.
