I do not mind having to commute a bit for work. I have looked at the surrounding cities, but most firms are looking for experienced paralegals, so it has been difficult finding any solid leads.

Thank you for reading my post and your good wishes! :-)

You will have to drive about 45 min to Palm Beach, but that's what most people that live in Port St Lucie do. Good luck with your Job search.

Amanda Edgington I have been invited to the final step in the interviewing process for a position as a plant operator, and was told it would be an interactive day. We would be split into groups with other candidates and given a project to work on for the day to see how we work in groups and fit in with the company structure. I was wondering if anyone had any experience with this type of interviewing style and could give some insight on what to expect or any suggestions on preparing.

Charity Pointon Hi. I am earning a degree at Kaplan University online - major IT Science Web Development. I have had such a unique experience with this school. I have learned to articulate, write, and discuss with speed and ease. That is a rare quality in the IT world. I am looking to connect with programmers, web developers, animation experts, and other related fields. I wish to donate my time or work with others online to gain experience.

Stephanie Ok, so I have posted my resume to the NSCS website, but how do I stay safe, yet still open myself up to employers? For instance, if I "scrub" my resume of contact info for safety, how do employers contact me? If I mention work I did locally, how do I stay safe from any random reader?

Brianna Dunn Hello NSCS'ers! I'm in denial about graduating, but in just a few short weeks I'll be leaving Mizzou (The University of Missouri, to those outside the Big 12) with a dual-major in Journalism-Strategic Communication and Business-Marketing. I'll be moving to Milwaukee for a Sales Leadership Development Program with Pepsi, and I'm looking for a roommate - or any suggestions about great apartments for young people located on the south side of the city! Looking forward to hearing from any of you!

Eric Hi! I'm a current student (nope, not an alumni yet!) and NSCS member at Stony Brook University, studying Computer Science for my major and minoring in Business. I'm curious about what I should do to get internships while in college - my GPA is good, but I don't have any previous experience. Should I check if my professors know anyplace I could intern at? The career office? I feel kind of lost here.

I am having a hard time finding internships too. In our classes, we do presentations of firms that might need interns, then it is our responsibility to call and see if they need any interns. Maybe you could work with some of your peers to research places you could intern. Also, I found a lot of great resources for internships on KODA. There is a link to it on the NSCS site. you can make a free profile and search Computer Science Intern and I am sure you will get some ideas. Unfortunately, there isn't many for design, so I am still looking! :P it's OK to not have much experience though, that's what the internship is for, to give you experience.
