No reason I think the boy's mom is Juliet other than a hunch. If it was still Sarah, I don't feel like they would have made such a big deal last week about hiding who it was. Plus Jack and Juliet had a thing on the island, both are doctors, etc.

Desmond was on the island when it crashed...in fact he was the cause of the crash. So, I do believe your theory that Desmond was not in that timeline, but even if he was, Jack wouldn't have known because at this point they are ALL strangers to one another.

Other than that, what happened - really? The Kate parallel story blew chunks... "I know you held me at gun point, but will you come to the door with me?" Sawyer running off and Kate following. Is there a triangle anymore? I can't imagine so. I think if you replaced Evangeline with Rachel Dratch, there wouldn't be as much lady drama.
