Nina Ciao a tutti! I studied abroad Jan-May '09 in Florence and Rome. Leaving was indescribably hard! I have since graduated college and I will be returning to Italy on August 23.... for good. Well, for a while at least. I am currently seeking employment in Italy so that I can get back to living la dolce vita. If anyone has any suggestions or advice for me, I would appreciate it!

The only suggestion I have is that you need to apply to A LOT of scholarships in order to get enough to fund your trip. Like 100. Some colleges allow financial aid to count for study abroad too.

Robyn Schwartz: Certo! It took some time to get used to (all those vicoli are very confusing!), but we like it a lot.

Arenzano is on the Riviera di Ponente, so we're west of the city, closer to Savona. It's a seaside resort, so hopping in the summer and nice and sleepy during the off season. We're near centro and have lovely local restaurants and markets. How often do you land in Genova?
