TOP IDEA: Maura V. Pingor Great timing on this article (http://bit.ly/fhDULz), as I have taken recrutiing responsibilities for a new internal client, Citi Realty Services, and some of the jobs I have opened are for our Alternative Work Strategy group. Now that I have used our flexible work benefits, I don't think I can do without them. Is this a benefit you currently have, and if not, how do you rank it in your job selection process?

Hi Maura,
It is very nice to add me in your fan. Although I do not have much experience in recruiting, I used to recruit sales people while working in Vietnam with different global companies. It is a very challenging I did not only expect to find a right candidate for the position but also to find a potential candidate to develop for the future

Maura V. Pingor Why I like it here? 40,000 employees, their families and friends participated in Citi's Global Community Day (10/22) by volunteering in over 1,000 opportunities around the world. I volunteered at Hope Children's Home - an amazing organziation for children that need the love and confort of a home! How important is it to you that your company supports volunteering opportunities, therefore making a difference in the community??

TOP IDEA: Josh Allan Dykstra I've noticed a trend lately where more and more HR/OD people are being shifted to consultant roles instead of being FTEs. I'm actually excited about this, as to me it's an indication that we have an opportunity to completely replace HR with something entirely new and much more effective. Are you seeing any companies that are building new "people" constructs that don't look like "HR?" (Read all my thoughts here, if you like: "It's Time For HR To Die" http://bit.ly/kO0AX8.)

Would love to hear your thoughts on recruiting and how we can make it better -- that's a pretty interesting world in itself. I've been on the "other side" of recruitment a number of times and it (generally speaking, of course) seems to be a pretty de-humanizing process. To me, that just screams "perfect opportunity to build something new!"

Amanda Veinott Join two of my colleagues in Washington DC on 9/21 for a complimentary Employee Engagement event @ National Geographic! This event will highlight common engagement pitfalls, like teaching to the test, gaming the system, and analysis paralysis; provide an interactive forum to learn from other companies’ mistakes and best practices; and shift the conversation from number crunching to creating a leader-led culture of engagement (leaders seeing beyond the numbers). http://tinyurl.com/921event

Maura V. Pingor What I look for in a company as far as benefits has changed overtime. At this stage in my life flexibility / work-life balance is at the top of my list! What is at the top of your list when you think of benefits a company offers?
